Japan Square follow the traditional characteristics of Japanese Gardens. It has a carp lake, 30 cherry trees sent from Japan, tea ceremony (on Thursdays) and Museum. It has a wooded area of 14 thousand m², a tribute to the Japanese Immigration in Curitiba.
The project was initiated in 1958 and completed in 1962. A reform in 1993 included the Japanese Portal and the Memorial of Japanese Immigration. |
